By the end of this article, you will be able to:
Check volunteers in from the Hours area
Check volunteers in using the Get Connected mobile app
Check volunteers out using the shift end time or a custom time
Check Volunteers In from the Hours Area
If you are not using the Check-In Kiosk, you can check volunteers in on their behalf—individually or in bulk.
Go to Volunteerism > Hours.
Click Check-In.
Click List for the Opportunity you want to check volunteers in for.
Select the checkbox next to one or more volunteers.
Apply a User Group, if applicable.
Click Check In Users to finish.
The volunteer’s status in the Checked In column updates from No to Yes, and they will appear in the Checked In Now tab.
Check Volunteers In Using the Mobile App
Use the Get Connected mobile app to record attendance during an event.
Open the Get Connected mobile app.
Navigate to the Opportunity or event.
Locate the Check-In option.
Mark each volunteer as arrived or present.
Ensure you have the required permissions to manage attendance details in the app.
Check Volunteers Out of an Opportunity
Go to Volunteerism > Hours.
Select the Checked In Now tab.
Locate the volunteer you want to check out.
Use the dropdown in the Check-Out column and choose one of the following:
Check Out With Shift End Time
Applies the scheduled shift end time to the volunteer’s hours.
Available for Opportunities with scheduled shifts.Check Out With A Custom Time
Allows you to enter a specific date and time for the volunteer’s hours.
Click Check Out to finish.
