Troubleshoot common email verification issues
Overview
You can update the From email address used in Email Blasts, so volunteers recognize emails as coming directly from your organization.
This change can be made from the Email Blast area of your dashboard.
Recommendation:
Keep the default no-reply email address when possible.
Default addresses (like
noreply@galaxydigital.com) are already authenticated with email providers and are more likely to pass spam filters.Custom email addresses may require additional setup to ensure reliable delivery.
Verifying a New From Email Address
Go to Communication > Email Blast.
Select the Click To Verify A New From Address button.
Type the email you want verified in the Email From Address Field.
Click Submit.
Check the email submitted to see if an email came through from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Click the link in the email to confirm the email address.
The link expires after 24 hours.
Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see an email from AWS.
When you click the link, it takes you to an AWS confirmation page.
A green check appears beside the added email once verified.
FAQ
Q. Why is my custom From email address showing as unverified?
A. Custom sender addresses must be authenticated before they can be used to send emails. This usually requires adding DKIM records to your domain’s DNS settings.
Q. How can I resolve email delivery issues when using a custom address?
A. Contact your Site Manager to discuss installing DKIM records. This allows the system to authenticate your emails and improve deliverability.
Q. Can recipient whitelisting fix deliverability issues?
A. Whitelisting may help temporarily, but proper DKIM setup is the recommended long-term solution.
