MailPoet is an email plugin for your BoardConnect site. It's great for creating email newsletters for your members and the community. We provide you with a free account that grants you up to 5,000 emails per month under their basic, Free plan. If you want to access more features of MailPoet, they do offer paid subscriptions and list their prices on their site. Please visit MailPoet for more information.

How to set up your MailPoet account

To get started, you'll need to set up your MailPoet account. After you do so, you'll get an activation key to activate MailPoet on your BoardConnect site. Here are the steps:

  1. Complete the steps for setting up your MailPoet Account.

  2. Copy and paste your activation key in BoardConnect when prompted.

  3. Click the Start Using MailPoet button.

You're all set! Time to create some lists for your courses and add subscribers to them.

How to create a MailPoet list for a Course

When you're ready to create a MailPoet list for a Course:

  1. Go to MailPoet from your Admin Panel.

  2. Click Lists > + New List.

  3. Enter a Name for the list.

    • It's a good idea to name the list after the course or in a way that is relevant to that course.

    • The Description box is optional.

  4. Select Save to see the new list.

  5. Note the list name so you can enter it into the MemberPress Membership for the course.

How to Add Subscribers

To start adding subscribers to a list:

  1. Go to MailPoet > Subscribers.

  2. Click + Add New and then enter the user's contact information.

  3. Select the List with the Lists dropdown.

  4. Click Save to finish. Repeat these steps to add more subscribers as needed.
