โ– Heads up! This article is intended for Program Managersโ€”a role available only on Amplify sites. You may also see this role referred to as Advanced Program Manager; both terms refer to the same user type.

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Assign a User Group to an Opportunity

  • Share private Opportunities with specific volunteers

  • Bulk assign Opportunities to a User Group

Use Cases

Assign an Opportunity to a User Group when you need to:

  • Share court-mandated Opportunities privately

  • Restrict access to volunteers with specific skills

  • Limit participation to volunteers with specialized training

Before You Begin

Your Site Manager must assign the User Group to a Program you manage before you can add it to an Opportunity.

Assign a User Group to an Opportunity

  1. Go to My Program, or My Programs if you manage more than one, and select the Program you want to assign Opportunities to a User Group.

  2. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.

  3. Select the Opportunity Title.

  4. Scroll until you see User Groups and select the User Group from the dropdown beside the Add User Group button.

    • You can also click View User Groups under the Opportunity Link to jump to the bottom of the page.

  5. Once you select the User Group, click Add User Group.

โœ๏ธ Quick tip: If you don't see the User Group listed in the dropdown menu, check with your Site Manager to ensure they have added your Program to that User Group.

Bulk Assign Opportunities to a User Group

  1. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.

  2. Select the checkbox beside each Opportunity Title.

    • To select all, use the checkbox at the top of the list.

  3. Open the Actions for Selected Opportunities dropdown.

  4. Select Assign or Remove User Group.

  5. Select the User Group and choose Update User Groups.
