Opportunity Waitlists: Program Managers

How Program Managers manage waitlists for full volunteer Opportunities

❖ Heads up! This article is intended for Program Managersβ€”a role available only on Amplify sites. You may also see this role referred to as Advanced Program Manager; both terms refer to the same user type.

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Add a waitlisted volunteer to an Opportunity

  • Remove a volunteer from a waitlist

  • Export waitlist data

Before You Begin

Waitlists must be enabled by your Site Manager in Main Settings before they can be used. When waitlists are enabled, volunteers can join a waitlist after an Opportunity reaches capacity. Spots may become available when:

  • A volunteer unregisters

  • A response is deleted

  • Opportunity capacity increases

  • Additional shifts are added

Add a Waitlisted Volunteer to an Opportunity

  1. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.

  2. Select the Opportunity Title.

  3. Scroll to Waitlist.

  4. When a spot becomes available, select the (+) under the Options column.

  5. In the confirmation pop-up:

    • Select Yes to add the response and notify the volunteer

    • Select No to cancel

Remove a Volunteer from a Waitlist

  1. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.

  2. Select the Opportunity Title.

  3. Scroll to Waitlist.

  4. Select the (X) under the Options column for the volunteer.

  5. In the confirmation pop-up:

    • Select Yes to confirm

    • Select No to cancel

Export Waitlist Data

  1. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.

  2. Select the Opportunity Title.

  3. Scroll to Waitlist.

  4. Select Export.
