Understanding Responses vs. Hours
A Response means a volunteer expressed interest and planned to attend an Opportunity.
Hours mean the volunteer attended and completed the Opportunity.
If a volunteer has a Response but no logged Hours, they may appear to be a no-show.
Reviewing No-Shows
To view volunteers who responded but did not log hours:
Before You Take Action: Confirm the No-Show
Before marking a volunteer as a no-show, consider whether:
The volunteer attended but forgot to check in or out using the kiosk
The volunteer forgot to submit their hours
The volunteer experienced an issue submitting hours
If the volunteer did attend, you can add hours on their behalf.
Adding Default Hours for Volunteers
To add default hours for volunteers who attended but did not log time:
Go to Volunteerism > Responses.
Select one or more responses using the checkbox next to the volunteer’s name.
Click + Add Default Hours.
Exporting Response Data
Exporting responses can help you review activity or follow up with volunteers who did not submit hours.
To export responses:
Go to Volunteerism > Responses.
Click Export Responses.
Complete the Export Options.
Click Email Export.
A CSV file is sent to the email address entered in the Export Options.
