By the end of this article, you’ll be able to:
Register your Agency on a volunteer site
Complete the Agency registration form correctly
Understand key fields and tips for setting up your Agency profile
Request Agency Account
Go to the volunteer site where you want to register your Agency.
Under the Volunteer Now button, select Click here to register your organization.
Some sites may show alternate text (e.g., “Learn what Volunteer Asheville can do for you”).
Complete the registration form. Fields may vary by site.
Click Request Account to submit your registration.
You can also get there from the Sign Up button:
Click Sign Up at the top of the page.
Next to Want to sign up your agency?, select Click here.
Complete the registration form and click Request Account.
Fields on the Agency Registration Form
Required fields are noted. Optional fields depend on the site’s setup.

Agency Name*
| Your organization’s name—first thing users see on your profile |
Nonprofit Category | Describe what type of organization your Agency is |
Agency Manager Email* | Email for the primary Agency Manager |
Address Fields | Address Line 1, City, and Zip Code are required; include as much detail as possible |
EIN | Employee Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS |
Contact Person | Point of contact (POC) listed on the Agency profile page |
Contact Title | Title of the POC (ex. Volunteer Coordinator) |
Additional Notification Recipients | Enter additional notification recipients, separating each email on its own line; these individuals receive notifications sent to Agency Managers, like the Agency Manager Weekly Digest |
Agency Contact Fields | Share your Agency's email, phone, or fax |
Causes | Select the Causes your Agency supports; these help match volunteers with your Agency |
Customize Link | Personalize the ending of your Agency's profile page URL |
Hours of Operation | Share your Agency's typical operating hours |
What We Do | Describe your Agency’s work and volunteer involvement |
Who We Are | Share history, mission, or other relevant details |
Social Media Links | Add links to your Agency’s social media pages |
Agency Video | Add a YouTube or Vimeo video about your Agency |
Contact Information Fields | These fields appear on the form if you do not have an account already registered on the site when you go to register your Agency. If you do not have a registered email associated with an active account on the site, then you'll be asked to:

Things to Keep in Mind
The email address entered becomes the primary Agency Manager. You can update this later.
Clicking Request Account confirms you’ve read and agreed to the site’s terms and conditions.
After submitting, you’ll be taken to your Agency Manager page.
If not, click Manage Agency at the top of the page.
If invited to register, you’ll still complete the same registration form unless the Site Manager sets up your Agency and assigns you as Agency Manager.
