Learn how Agency Managers can promote their Agencies

Heads up! This article is only intended for Agency Managers.

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Share your Agency profile with the community

  • Share links to your volunteer Needs and Events

  • Promote your Agency using built-in sharing tools and best practices

Share Your Agency Profile

Create a custom link to direct volunteers to your Agency’s public profile.

  1. Go to My Agency > Edit.

  2. Under Basic Information, enter a value in the Customize Link field.

  3. Click Update Agency Info.

  4. Copy and share your Agency profile link in emails, newsletters, or social media.

Share Your Agency Needs

You can share either your full list of public Needs or a specific Need.

Share all public Needs:

  1. Go to My Agency > Needs.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  3. Copy the List of Public Needs link and share it.

Share a specific Need:

  1. Go to My Agency > Needs.

  2. Select the Need you want to promote.

  3. Copy the Need Link and share it.

Share Agency Events

Events allow volunteers and community members to attend without a volunteer commitment.

  1. Go to My Agency > Events.

  2. Select View for the Event.

  3. Click the Share button to post or copy the Event link.

Promote on Social Media

Use social media to expand your reach and drive engagement.

  • Share your Agency profile, Needs, or Events using the Share or Copy Link options.

  • Add social media links to your Agency profile from Edit > Links.

  • Encourage volunteers to share Needs or invite others to participate.

Your social media links appear on your public Agency profile.

Volunteers

Your volunteers can be some of the best marketers on your team! Encourage your volunteers to share information about your Agency, post links to Needs on their social media, or bring a friend to the next volunteer Need they sign up for. There are plenty of ways you can tap into this resource while expanding your community reach.

Best Practices for Promotion

  • Use clear, specific titles: Avoid generic titles like Volunteers Needed. Be descriptive.

  • Include related links: Link Events within Needs postings when applicable (and vice versa).

  • Keep paragraphs short: Limit to 2–3 sentences for readability across devices.

  • Use formatting: Use headings, bold text, and lists to improve readability.

  • Add visuals: Upload flyers, photos, or images using the Text Editor to increase engagement.
