โ Heads up! This article is only intended for Site Managers.
There are many ways to customize your site to best fit your volunteer management process. This includes how you want the landing page to be organized for volunteers and more.
โน๏ธSo you know: Some sites have language overrides in place. You may see Needs instead of Opportunities, Agencies instead of Programs, or Prerequisites instead of Qualifications.
Managing Volunteer Settings
To get started, navigate to Settings > Main Settings > Volunteers. Here, you can set the main User Landing Page, how the landing page is organized, and more!
User Landing Page Settings
Select where you want users to land when logging into your site. Please note that the selections available in the dropdown vary by product type. Be sure to click Update Settings to save any changes you make.
The User View
Select how you want items on the landing page to be displayed to users. Items, like Needs or Opportunities, and Agencies or Programs can be displayed in a Grid, List, Calendar, or Map.
Require Emails for Team Registrations
You can require that all team responses include an email address when registering as a team. Toggle On to make this a requirement, or Off to disable it.
When this is toggled Off, volunteers only have to provide the number of team members. This makes it easier for team leaders to sign up as a team since they aren't required to include email addresses for each team member.
When this is toggled Off, team leaders can select reserved slots for team members who will join later. This feature is disabled when this is toggled On.
Show Pop-up After Action
Toggle this On to have a pop-up appear when a user responds to a Need or Opportunity, prompting them to create a calendar event.
The pop-up also offers the option to share the Need or Opportunity listing on social media. If you have donations enabled on your site, it will also include a Donate button.
Agency or Program Contact Information
Here, you can opt to display or hide Agency or Program contact information on the Agency or Program profile page. Contact information includes the name of a point of contact, email, phone, and fax number.
Some Site Managers opt to hide this information, so volunteers respond to their Needs or Opportunities through the site instead of reaching out to the Program directly. This makes it easier to track your site's volunteerism.
