Once your volunteer Opportunity is set up, the next step is scheduling your volunteers. You’ll use the Scheduling area for Opportunities with the following duration types: Custom Shifts, Recurring Shifts, and Happens On
Schedule Volunteers via the Scheduling Area
Go to Volunteerism > Scheduling.
To begin scheduling:
Select Options > Schedule users for this shift. You can also click View available volunteers to see who’s available.
Search by Name or Email to schedule a volunteer.
To find a volunteer, they must have already submitted a response to this Opportunity.
Schedule Directly from a Volunteer's Profile (Users Area)
One way you can schedule volunteers outside of the Scheduling area is directly from the User's profile.
Go to Volunteerism > Users.
Select the user.
Click Schedule.
Click Schedule.
Choose the relevant shift(s), if applicable.
Click Continue, review the information, and select Add to List.
When ready, click Schedule to finalize.
Invite Volunteers via the Scheduling Area
Instead of scheduling them directly, you can invite available volunteers to sign up for a shift. This sends them the Schedule Recruitment notification with details and a signup link.
Go to Volunteerism > Scheduling.
Select the Opportunity title in the calendar.
Click View available volunteers.
Scroll to Available Volunteers.
Check the boxes beside the volunteers you wish to invite.
Click Invite Volunteers.
Confirm your selection in the pop-up:
Click Yes to send the notification
Click No to cancel
