You can create private Needs or Opportunities as necessary. When you make a Need or Opportunity private, only the individuals you share it with can access it and respond to it. You can share links to private Needs or Opportunities, or assign them to user groups—depending on the situation.
You can mark Needs or Opportunities as private when you create them or by updating an existing Need's or Opportunity's privacy status. If you want to mark them as private in bulk, you can! You can even mark them as private and assign them to a user group in bulk in one go. Private Needs or Opportunities can only be accessed if:

As a Site Manager, you can always view private Needs or Opportunities on the front end of the site—regardless of whether or not you're a part of the user group or initiative the Need or Opportunity is assigned to.
Private Needs or Opportunities are great for use when you or an Agency or Program offers court-mandated opportunities. You can assign them to a user group to maintain discretion for the volunteers and their court-mandated roles.
Sharing Private Needs or Opportunities
To share private Needs, just copy the Need or Opportunity Link from the Update Need or Opportunity page! You can then share this link in newsletters, emails, etc.!
Keep in mind that once you share the link with a volunteer, they can share it too. Be sure to let them know if you don't want them to share the link with anyone else. You can also assign the private Need or Opportunity to a user group.
