Volunteer Link is a new platform for corporate volunteers who are looking for ways to get involved. Your Needs are automatically posted on local Volunteer Link sites, increasing your engagement without any extra effort.

Volunteer Link means more volunteers! A 2023 study found a 57% year-over-year increase in the rate of global employee volunteering participation. Employee volunteers are looking for ways to give back, and Volunteer Link is how they are finding Needs.

Build Strong Partnerships

Volunteer Link allows corporate volunteers to browse your Needs and sign up in a few short steps. By enabling a Volunteer Link connection, your organization will:

  • Grow your volunteer base without spending time on marketing or promotion

  • Build lasting relationships with volunteers and potential new donors

  • Utilize a free resource with no extra effort

Who Uses Volunteer Link

Volunteer Link is used by companies and statewide organizations committed to advancing their volunteer efforts. Most volunteers browsing Volunteer Link will be employees taking advantage of their company's corporate social responsibility efforts.

How It Works

All Needs are automatically shared on local Volunteer Link sites without any extra steps by you or your Agency Managers.

Don't want to share all Needs on Volunteer Link automatically? You may choose to disable sharing on individual volunteer opportunities when creating or editing the opportunity.

Project Requests

Companies using Volunteer Link can send project requests directly to you through Volunteer Link. That request will ask you

Reports

With Volunteer Link, you now have two reports that help make your Volunteer Link connection successful: The Agency Report and the Missed Connections report.

Agency Report

The Agency Report shows you which of your Agencies might need a reminder to update their profiles or post new volunteer opportunities. Keeping this information up to date means your community always has fresh and relevant Needs to share with Volunteer Link volunteers.

You can access this report by navigating to Reports > Agencies > Agency Activity.

Depending on your product, Needs may appear as Opportunities, and Agencies may appear as Programs. Also, Amplify and Sustain sites do not include Agency Managers.

Missed Connection Reports

There are two Missed Connection Reports:

Volunteer Missed Connection Report

Volunteer Missed Connection: This report provides a list of missed connections with volunteers and can be accessed at Reports > Users > Volunteer Missed Connection Report.

The way this works is:

  1. A volunteer responds to a Need/Opportunity.

  2. 7 days after responding to a Need/Opportunity, they receive an email checking in to ask if they have heard back from the Agency/Program yet.

  3. If the volunteer clicks "No, I haven't heard from them yet," then their name is added to the Volunteer Missed Connection report.

  4. You can filter the report by Agency and date.

This helps you determine which Agencies or Programs may need updating or support to move forward.

Agency Missed Connection Report

Agency or Program Missed Connection: This report provides a list of missed connections with Agencies or Programs and can be accessed at Reports > Agencies or Programs > Agency or Program Missed Connection Report.
