How to setup Agency approval settings on your site as a Center Site Manager

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Enable or disable automatic approval for Agencies, Needs, and Events

  • Allow Agencies to assign Initiatives and User Groups to Needs

  • Choose whether Agency contact information displays publicly

Overview

As a Center Site Manager, you can manage how Agencies and their content are reviewed and approved. Approval settings allow you to determine whether new or updated Agency submissions—such as profiles, Needs, and Events—are automatically approved or require manual review.

Setting Up Agency Approval Options

To update approval settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Agency Registration > Agency Settings.

  2. Toggle On or Off for each setting you want to enable or disable.

  3. Click Update Settings to save your changes.

Auto Approve Agency Profile Updates

Automatically approves any changes made to Agency profiles.

Auto Approve Agency Needs

Automatically approves newly submitted Needs from Agencies.

Auto Approve Agency Submitted Events

Automatically approves new Events submitted by Agency Managers.

Auto Approve New Agencies

Automatically approves new Agencies registering on your site.

Agencies can assign initiatives to needs

Allows Agencies to assign Initiatives to their volunteer Needs.

Agencies can assign user groups to needs

Allows Agencies to assign User Groups to their volunteer Needs.

Agencies can use the scheduling feature

Gives Agency Managers access to the scheduling feature for their volunteer Needs.

Managing Agency Contact Information

You can control whether Agency contact information appears publicly.

  1. In Agency Settings, locate Agency Contact Information.

  2. Choose one of the following options:

    • Show publicly on agency profile – Displays contact information on the Agency’s public profile.

    • Hide – Keeps the contact information private.

  3. Click Update Settings to apply your changes.

Q. Can I require manual approval for specific items only?
A. Yes. You can toggle automatic approval Off for any item you prefer to review manually.

Q. Will Agencies be notified when their Needs or Events are approved automatically?
A. Yes. Standard email notifications still apply when approvals occur automatically.

Q. Can I change these settings later?
A. Absolutely. You can update or reverse approval settings anytime through the same menu.
