Change Opportunity visibility (public or private) in bulk
Assign or remove Opportunities from User Groups and Initiatives
Deactivate multiple Opportunities safely
Bulk Actions for Volunteer Opportunities
Bulk actions allow you to quickly update multiple volunteer Opportunities at the same time. This is especially helpful when managing large lists or making broad changes across your organization.
All bulk actions begin from the same place.
Get Started
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities
Check the box next to each Opportunity you want to update
To select all Opportunities on the page, check the box at the top of the table
Open the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down menu
From there, choose the action you want to apply.
Make Opportunities Private in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down, select Make Private.
Click Make Opportunities Private to finish.
Make Opportunities Private and Assign to a User Group in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Select Make Private and Assign to a User Group using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down.
Select which User Group to assign them to with the dropdown.
Click Make Private and Assign to User Group to finish.
Make Opportunities Public in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down, select Make Public.
Click Make Opportunities Public to finish.
Assign or Remove Opportunities from a User Group in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down, select Assign or Remove User Group.
Select which action you wish to take:
If you want to assign the Opportunities to a User Group, select Assign to the following user group, and select a User Group to assign them to.
If you want to remove the Opportunities from a User Group, select Remove from the following user group, and select a User Group to remove them from.
Click the Update User Group button to finish.
Assign or Remove Opportunities from an Initiative in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down, select Assign or Remove Initiative.
Select which action you wish to take:
If you want to assign the Opportunities to a User Group, select Assign to the following initiative, and select an Initiative to assign them to.
If you want to remove the Opportunities from an Initiative, select Remove from the assigned initiative.
Click Update Initiative to finish.
Deactivate Opportunities in Bulk
Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities.
Check the boxes beside the Opportunities you want to edit in bulk. You can select all by checking the box at the top of the table.
Using the Actions for Selected Opportunities drop-down, select Deactivate.
Click Deactivate Selected to finish.
We don't recommend deactivating an Opportunity if it already has responses and submitted hours. Deactivating an Opportunity can interfere with your reporting and data.
