Donations with Stripe
Integrating with Stripe allows volunteers to donate directly through your site using a Donate button in the utility bar.
Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per successful card transaction. Get Connected does not take any portion of your donations.
How to Set Up Stripe Donations
Create a Stripe account if you don’t already have one.
From your Stripe dashboard, copy your Publishable Key and Secret Key (found on the API Keys page).
In Get Connected, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Stripe Information.
Paste your API keys into the respective fields.
Customize your Introduction and Thank-you messages as needed.
Click Submit Changes to activate.
Donations Without Stripe
If you prefer not to use Stripe, you can still collect donations, but note that the Donate button will not appear in the toolbar. Here are some alternative options:
Spotlight: Create a Spotlight linking to your chosen donation platform.
Rotator Image: Add a donation link in a Rotator Image.
Custom Page: Build a dedicated page with donation info, links, and details on where funds go. You can link this page to Spotlights or Rotator Images.

A. No. Donations are site-wide once set up and cannot be attached to specific events or volunteer Opportunities.
