  • Enable and manage donations through Stripe.

  • Offer alternative donation options without Stripe.

  • Customize how supporters access your donation links.

Donations with Stripe

The Stripe integration adds a Donate button to your volunteers’ utility bar for quick and secure giving.

Stripe fees: 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card transaction.

Get Connected does not take any percentage of your donations.

How to Set Up Stripe Donations

  1. Create a Stripe account if you don’t already have one.

  2. From your Stripe dashboard, copy your Publishable Key and Secret Key (found on the API Keys page).

  3. In Get Connected, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Stripe Information.

  4. Paste your API keys into the respective fields.

  5. Customize your Introduction and Thank-you messages as needed.

  6. Click Submit Changes to activate.

Donations Without Stripe

If you prefer not to use Stripe, you can still collect donations, but note that the Donate button will not appear in the toolbar. Here are some alternative options:

  • Spotlight: Create a Spotlight linking to your chosen donation platform.

  • Rotator Image: Add a donation link in a Rotator Image.

  • Custom Page: Build a dedicated page with donation info, links, and details on where funds go. You can link this page in Spotlights or Rotator Images.

Q. Can donations be added to a specific event or volunteer Need?

A. No. Donations are site-wide once set up and cannot be attached to specific events or volunteer Needs.
