When to Use a Video-Based Qualification
If you want volunteers to watch a required video—such as safety training, onboarding information, or an About Us video—before participating in an Opportunity, you can include that video directly in a Qualification.
This approach helps you:
Ensure volunteers review important information before participating
Confirm understanding by asking a video-specific question
Automatically approve volunteers when they select the correct answer
Create a Qualification with a Training Video
To create a Qualification that includes a required video:
Go to Volunteerism > Qualifications.
Click Add New Qualification.
Complete the Create Qualification page.
Recommended Field Settings
Qualification Type: Select Dropdown or Radio Button.
Auto Approve: Enable Auto approve if correct answer is selected.
This setup allows volunteers to be automatically approved once they select the correct response—ideal for questions that can only be answered after watching the video.
Add the Video Link
Toggle Add Content Link to On.
Paste the video URL into the Link URL field.
Enter Link Text, such as:
Click here to watch the training video
Volunteering with Us
Click Create Qualification.
