Volunteer Link Explained

Volunteer Link is designed for companies with employees in multiple states. These companies utilize Volunteer Link to assist their employees in finding meaningful volunteer opportunities within their local communities.

If your organization uses Get Connected, Volunteer Link creates a connection between your site and those corporate volunteers. Instead of companies building their own separate volunteer networks, they can connect directly to organizations like yours through Volunteer Link.

In short, Volunteer Link helps bring more potential volunteers to your community by making your Needs visible to corporate employees who are already looking to get involved.

How it Works with Get Connected

Here’s how the connection works:

  • You continue to create and manage Needs for your Agency, per usual.

  • Public, active Needs can be shared with Volunteer Link.

  • Corporate volunteers browsing Volunteer Link can see and express interest in those Needs and in your Agency.

  • Their volunteer activity and impact are still tracked through your Agency.

Control What is Shared

Each Agency Manager can decide which Needs they want to promote to Volunteer Link.

When creating or editing a Need, you will see an option that allows you to:

  • Share the Need with Volunteer Link, or

  • Keep it visible only to volunteers on your own site

This means you can be selective about what corporate volunteers see.
