Main Site Settings: Main Home Page Button

Information for Center Site Managers about customizing their main home page button.

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Enable or disable the Main Home Page button

  • Customize the default text ("Volunteer Now") on the Main Home Page button

  • Change the link location of their Main Home Page button

Configuring Main Home Page Button Settings

The Main Home Page Button settings controls the default "Volunteer Now" button on the logged out view of the homepage.

To update your Home Page Button settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Main Settings > Home Page Button.

  2. Use the toggle, free text field, and dropdown menu to adjust each option as needed.

  3. Scroll down and click Update Site Design Settings to save your changes.

Description

Show / Hide Button

Determines if the button is visible. Turn the toggle OFF to hide the button. Turn the toggle ON to display the button

Text on Button

Enter custom text. Up to 25 characters are allowed. If left blank, the text defaults to "Volunteer Now".

Button Destination

Determines where the button will take users once they click. Site Managers may choose:

  • The Needs page

  • The Agencies page

  • A specific Initiative

  • A specific Custom Page

  • A specific Need

  • A specific Event (when Events module is enabled)

Note: If the linked destination is deactivated, the button automatically links to the Needs page.
