Send a push notification through the Causer App
What Is App Messaging?
App Messaging lets you send short, push-style notifications directly to volunteers who use the Causer App. This is ideal for:
Urgent updates
Last-minute changes
Time-sensitive reminders
Volunteers receive the message as a notification on their phone and can tap it to open the Causer App.
Before You Begin
Volunteers must:
Have the Causer App installed
Have notifications enabled in their phone settings
If either requirement is not met, the message will not be delivered.
How to Send an App Message
Go to Communication > App Messaging.
(Optional) Add filters to target a specific group of volunteers.
Enter a Message Title.
Write your Message (up to 110 characters).
Keep messages short and alert-style.
For longer or detailed messages, use Email Blasts instead.
Click Send Message.
The message is delivered immediately to the volunteer’s phone. When they click the message, it takes them to the Causer App. To learn more about the Causer App, please see The Causer App: Site Managers.
