Whether you were invited to volunteer with an organization or looking to volunteer, you'll need to register with a site to respond to available volunteer Opportunities. Some sites require that you complete all the steps of their registration process before you can even view their available volunteer Opportunities. Here, we cover how to join a site today to kick off your volunteer journey!

ℹ️ So you know: Some sites have language overrides in place. This means you might see Needs in place of Opportunities, Agencies in place of Programs, or Prerequisites in place of Qualifications.

Registering an Account

You're here because you received a join link from a friend, co-worker, family member, organization, etc., or you found an organization with volunteer Opportunities you want to get involved in! The first step is to join an organization's site by creating an account.

  1. Navigate to the organization's site that you want to register on.

  2. Click Sign Up at the top of the page.

  3. Choose a track from the dropdown menu, or use the track already set up for you.

    • Not all sites have Registration Tracks. If you don't see this option, skip to the next step.

  4. Fill out the registration form and select Create Your Account when finished.

  5. Once your account is set up, and any necessary or required steps are completed, you can start responding to available volunteer Needs or Opportunities.

Registration Steps

The site you're registering on may ask questions as part of the registration process. These help the organization match you with the best volunteer Needs or Opportunities.

You might also be asked to submit a response to a Prerequisite or Qualification during registration.

  • It's best to complete these requirements as soon as possible, since they can delay your ability to participate with that organization.
