Badge Overview

Some sites award badges when you reach specific volunteer benchmarks, such as completing a set number of hours.

When you reach a benchmark:

  • You’ll receive an email with a shareable badge

  • The badge will appear on your profile

  • The badge will also appear on your volunteer resume

You can view your benchmarks in the View Profile area. Badges can be shared on social media or other platforms.

Earning Badges

Badges are tied to benchmarks set by the site.

Each benchmark requires:

  • A specific number of volunteer hours

  • Completion within a defined timeframe

On some sites:

  • Hours may need to be approved before counting toward a benchmark

To earn a badge:

  • Submit your volunteer hours after completing your service

  • Make sure hours are submitted within one month after the benchmark timeframe ends

If hours are not submitted within this timeframe:

  • The badge will not be awarded

  • The benchmark will not appear on your profile
