❖ Heads up! This article is intended for Volunteers. Are you a volunteer looking for support with your volunteer account, or have questions about a specific site? See the How to Get Help with Your Volunteer Account section of this article for more information!

By the end of this article, you will be able to:

  • Find a volunteer site or reconnect with one you’ve used before

  • Identify who to contact for help with your account

  • Locate contact information for an Agency or Program

I can't find the site I volunteered with. What do I do?

Whether you're looking for a site to volunteer with or just trying to find a site you volunteered with in the past, there are a few tips and tricks you can use to locate that site:

  • Google their name: You can search for organizations in your area, use keywords or phrases for the organization, or search in your emails if you already contributed to an organization in the past and want to reconnect

  • Call the organization directly: Most nonprofits include their contact information on their sites, sometimes through an About page, Contact Us button, or by scrolling to the bottom of the site page

  • Check their socials: Social media platforms are a great resource for connecting or reconnecting with organizations dedicated to volunteerism in your area

  • Look for branding: Most organizations have their own branding, whether that be a personal logo or color scheme, that can help clue you into whether or not it's the site you're looking for

Once you've found the site, try logging in to verify if you have an account. Can't remember your login information? Try requesting a password reset! If you have an account on the site, you'll receive instructions by email on how to get back into your account.

I really need help with my account. Who do I talk to?

If you have any questions about your volunteer account, please contact a representative for the site, Agency, or Program that you're volunteering with for help. They manage all of the day-to-day operations for their site.

Why do I have to contact a site representative instead of your support team?

Each site has its own requirements, processes, and restrictions.

While general guidance is available in the help center, site representatives manage their own systems. This means they are the best source of support for questions about your account, participation, or site-specific processes.

Ways to contact a site

Since every site is set up differently, here are a few common ways to find contact information:

Finding Agency or Program profile contact information

Many Agencies or Programs include contact information on their profile page. To get there:

  1. Navigate to the volunteer site for that organization.

  2. If you are logged into your volunteer account, select either Agencies or Programs from the left-hand navigation menu. If you are not logged into a volunteer account, scroll to the bottom of the page where it says Recent Agencies or Programs.

  3. Select the Agency or Program you wish to contact.

  4. Look for the Contact section on the right-hand side of the profile. This can include the name of the point of contact, phone number, and email address, if the Agency or Program has included that information in their profile.

Looking for a Contact Us button in the site footer

Some sites provide a general contact email.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page

  • Look for a Contact Us link in the footer

  • Select the link to open your email provider and send a message

If this option isn’t available, check for other contact methods, such as:

  • Image rotators

  • Navigation buttons

  • Spotlights

Other ways to contact a site

You can also find contact information through the organization’s main website or social media channels.

These often list an email address or phone number for general inquiries.
